Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

  • Ms. Medusa A year after moving out, I bit the bullet and unfriended my now ex on Facebook. Over the weekend, I got a very polite email saying he was sorry and that he understood why I did it. I'm thrown for a loop and feel like a terrible person. 7 years ago   *   2 replies
    • TDOG sometimes "no contact" which includes social media is a good tool for moving on.... dont feel bad!! it's good self-care....... keep the focus on yourself and try to fully disengage. 7 years ago
      • Ms. Medusa Since we split he's contacted me far more than I've contacted him, about weird stuff like do you still have AAA; he hasn't been so great with the post-split boundaries. I've had to lay down the law a couple of times. The funny thing is, it's one of the few times he's apologised. That's what threw me. Before when I told him something he said or did hurt me it wasn't what he said but how I took it. 7 years ago
