Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

    • Moving_On Ha! He is driving me insane, on purpose. I am losing all the respect I had for him when I first started the divorce 9 years ago
    • dynamic That's a play it safe mentality. I don't burn bridges...I blow them up. We will forever have a link, not a relationship (at least not technically speaking). One the kids are old enough, you never have to really deal with them. You don't need to hate the other person, but think if it as business. You can strip away the emotions but still get things done in a civil manner because it has nothing to do with an "us" only a them i.e. children. 9 years ago
      • Moving_On I agree actually. As much as I don't like my soon-to-be ex-husband, I told him that this is a business transaction for me so let's focus on the agreement and forget about our negative feelings for one another. Let's make sure the kids are winners and me and you are somewhat happy with the final agreement. 9 years ago
