CO.J88 Ex partner (haven't been separated long) was meant to have our 2 year old son this weekend. I had plans for tonight and Sunday which I made months ago, he asked yesterday if we could find childcare so he could go to Spain and I said no. I get a text at 1am saying he's gone to Spain so my plans are ruined. I want to be calm but the thought of seeing him when he gets back makes me so angry!!! 9 years ago * 5 replies User reported

- eA I have been angry in the same you are, for similar reasons, but now when my ex does things like this - I try to look at it like a blessing. He's is showing me how selfish he is, or how different our priorities are in life, and I try to be grateful that I only have to deal with him a fraction of the time now. The other harsh reality is that you are responsible for taking care of yourself - next time, get child care - no so he "gets to go to Spain", but because you deserve time for yourself as well.
