Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

  • ELLA How do you let go/move on? Has anyone's anxiety/panic attacks got worse due to break up? 9 years ago   *   4 replies
    • splitter the pangs i felt upon separation were more around missing and yearning for my kids. if you are recover ing from an unhealthy attachment/codependent dynamic then you will definitely be feeling withdrawal and emptiness that need to be alchemized. and if it was reasonably healthy, there is normal grief! 9 years ago
    • MovingOnUP Try to stay busy on the days you are alone and not working. I am always in a funk when my daughter is with her dad and I'm sitting around alone. Don't be afraid to find a good therapist and some prescriptions for the anxiety. There's not need to suffer through the panic, you can help yourself. 9 years ago
    • dadofthree everyone keeps telling me that the further away the marriage/break up is in the rearview mirror, the easier it gets. i guess it depends upon what you see in your mirror. for me, i feel better and better every day, week, month and continue to learn. not to sound like buddha or something but learning is what its about. if you can look at yours situation and grow from it the anxiety weakens....just sayin' 9 years ago
    • Moving_On yep, anxiety panic attack. Got them both. But now I am keeping my distance from him. Feels a bit easier, but who knows how I will feel in a week :( 9 years ago
