I have been divorced 22 years now, and have had multiple relationships, some long term, and almost got married once. Yet I still got emotional hearing that my ex recently remarried. It's not that I still love him, but there was still a sense of loss at the news. It's strange, but it feels more permanent now that he's remarried, even though it's been 22 years. It was fleeting, but real none the less. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
