Splitsville

Hello again.

Well, this update came a little quicker than the last one. I suppose that's because we've been busy, so there's actually something for me to talk about.

Most recently, we had our second ever Splitsville karaoke night at Cardwell's here in beautiful Canton, MD. To say that it was a success is a gross understatement. To say that we drank too much is another gross understatement. Special thanks to everyone who participated. You were great (yes, I'm talking to you..). We'll probably plan another karaoke night next spring, so as Simon says: work on your material.

We're putting the finishing touches on the five-song EP that I mentioned in the last update, and it definitely rocks. In fact, it rocks so much so that Paul put a moratorium on rock solos for all future Splitsville songs. But we never listen to Paul, and anyway I think we've squeezed enough rock into these five tracks to last us for a while. We'll be playing the new stuff at future shows, and we're going to start on a fresh batch of material soon. Let us know what you think when you hear them.

What else is going on? Well, we'll be performinging at Gunther Murphy's in Chicago on September 27th. This will fulfill one half of our vow to return to Chicago and New York this year. Here's a link that we found with some info on the club: http://www.chicagotraveler.com/nightlife.htm

For those in the mid-Atlantic area, we'll be adding some local dates soon, so stay tuned to the website. Also, there will probably be another Greenberry Woods reunion coming up soon, and this time we'll have the assistance of both Paul and Tony for at least a couple of songs. I'm guessing we'll post that date here as well.
