- Faith smoke detector has been going off I know that there is nothing wrong with the batteries because just put fresh batteries in it and I'm not cooking. So I started to notice that shortly after my smoke detector starts to go off I have this metallic taste in my mouth.It makes me wonder is my Spouse trying to kill me?
