Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

  • sicknessandhealth I'm looking for some awesome single dad weekend trips with my son that will be fun for my son AND for me in the southeast. Any suggestions? 9 years ago   *   4 replies
    • Boogie Go camping in the Smokies - Cades Cove is really nice. Or Atlanta to the aquarium. Go look at state parks sites - tons of things to do. 9 years ago
      • exhusband thanks boogie--camping would be awesome. now i need to hit YOUTUBE and figure out how to pitch a fu*&*^king tent! appreciate it. Im going to go for it! 9 years ago
        • Boogie Try pitching in the backyard in the daytime before doing it in camp at night. Remember a good tent is cheaper than one night in a nice hotel, and they're always easier to pitch than cheap ones. Don't forget headlamps. Have fun! 9 years ago
    • dadofthree i always loved Tybee Island. Quiet little beach, cute houses and great BBQ nearby at Johnny Harris. If you want a great beach getaway you really can't lose. 9 years ago
