Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

  • 12345 grateful to have walked through the FIRE of leaving an okay marriage, believing I will be taken care of even if not traditionally "coupled"... 9 years ago   *   6 replies
    • splitter what do you mean by "okay marriage"? 9 years ago

    • CARRIE What was just "ok"? Me and my hubby are great parents and we get along but the physical connection is gone and most of the emotional. I've been on the fence for over a year now. The guilt of how I'm hurting him and the kids. Ugh 9 years ago
    • plasterdust I wish my wife would take steps towards divorce. I don't want a divorce but she is adamant that we have no connection...but completely ignores the reality of taking action. So kudos to 12345 for taking action and doing something. Trust me CARRIE, it hurts way more when your wife is ready to leave but won't actually participate in the process. I'll take honesty and hurt any day over hiding and deceit. BOOYAH 12345. 8 years ago
