Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

    • melisam_1973 How old is your children (I think I seen in another post, but I don't remember)? 10 years ago
    • Stacy This is the same man you've been fighting with all weekend, and that you fight with about his stepdaughter? The same man you have 1 child with, and are pregnant with your second? This is also your second marriage, correct? I sounds like you need to slow down, stop fighting, and figure out what where you want this marriage to go. You sound awfully young and it does seem like you are in emotional turmoil, but you have 3 children's lives to consider as well as your own. Every decision you make from here on in will not only affect you, but these three kids as well. My advice to you is to seek counseling, not only for your marriage but for yourself as well. Marriage and family are a tremendous amount of work, and require a lot of time and sacrifice. You've been down this road once, do you really want to go this way again? And try not to make any decisions in this heightened state of emotion you're in. 10 years ago
    • Unsure There are a lot of books that can help. I suggest going to your local library. 10 years ago
