Staying married may have long-term benefits. You can elicit much more sympathy from friends over a bad marriage than you ever can from a good divorce. - P. J. O'Rourke

  • BETTY So my last post was about my ex and I reuniting. Since then, he has done sh*t that makes me doubt his commitment to me. When I question him, he gets angry and reminds me of things I did durning our breakup. So last week I told him I was done until he can focus on me only. Now I'm trying not to feel so desperate... but what if I made a mistake?? 9 years ago   *   5 replies
    • LOVEISCRAZY What kind of shit has he done? Do u have kids? 9 years ago
    • BELLA J. The question is how long are you willing to wait on him to get it together? You shouldn't put your life on hold because he wants to do whatever his heart desires while playing the blame game. If his love for you is still there and he wants to see the relationship revived, then he should be all in for reconciling...no excuses. 9 years ago
    • RAN It's not encouraging that a. he did shit, AND b. He would get angry at you when you confronted him, and then countered by bringing up stuff you did when you were apart. When you confronted him, were you calm, cool, controlled? If so, and he got angry at you anyway...then it sounds like he was really ambivalent himself. I guess that's a big Duh, huh? Anyway -- you should try some sort of counseling so you can help figure out what you want -- faster than just waiting for the answer to drop down from heaven. When the relationship is/was complicated like yours, and both you and your ex's feelings keep changing, and you can't talk to each other effectively -- I think it's hard to achieve any perspective on your feelings. And therefore on the relationship . 9 years ago
